An e-scooter rider was grievously injured in a crash in Vittoriosa on Saturday morning.

The police said the accident took place in Vittoriosa Square at 4am.

The rider, a 28-year-old Colombian man who resides in the locality, fell off the scooter.

He was taken to hospital with grievous injuries.
