In a statement, the party – a merger between the green party AD and the Democratic Party – announced familiar names such as party leader Carmel Cacopardo, long-time AD councillor Ralph Cassar and former PD leader Anthony Buttigieg as candidates along with other, newer names as well.

Mina Tolu, who was a candidate for AD in the 2019 MEP elections, is also among the names on the ballot sheet.

The full list of candidates and the districts they are contesting on are as follows, in alphabetical order:

2.       Anthony Buttigieg (Districts 1 and 10)

3.       Carmelo Cacopardo (Districts 4 and 11)

4.       Ralph Cassar (Districts 7 and 11)

9.       Mina Tolu (Districts 9 and 10)

10.   Mark Zerafa (Districts 8 and 9)

The party said it would be approving more candidates in the near future.
