A man was seriously injured after falling one storey from a balcony, the police said.

The accident took place in Gebel Hanxun Street, Marsascala, on Thursday at 9.15pm.

The man, aged 59 of Paola, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Magistrate Nadine Lia is leading an inquiry.
