Artist behind portrait of Joseph Muscat takes aim at One News

The artist who painted the portrait of former Prime Minister Joseph Muscat that hangs in Castille, Patrick Dalli, has taken aim at One News.

In a post on Facebook, Dalli said: "For the newsroom at One Television, that a picture of former Prime Minister Joseph Muscat is hung at Castille does not have news value. For the Prime Minister before him it was."

"Feel ashamed if you know how."

Journalists caught a glimpse of it while at Castille during a meeting that Prime Minister Robert Abela held with his Libyan counterpart Abdulhamid Dbiebah. Dalli later posted the image of the portrait. It is customary for the Prime Minister to have his portrait hung in Castille, but an image of it was never released by the Department of Information. When a portrait had been installed of Lawrence Gonzi, a press release and image had been issued.
