A teenager was critically injured after falling three storeys into a shaft, the police said.
The accident took place in a residence in Tempesta Street, Qrendi, at 6pm on Friday.
The boy, aged 15, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Magistrate Marsanne Farrugia is leading an inquiry.
