Covid-19: Number of new cases creeps up again, as active cases jump to over 300

The number of new Covid-19 cases has crept up again, as 41 were registered while the number of active cases has again jumped over 300.

Health authorities said that nine patients are in hospital, three of whom in intensive care.

Only eight patients have recovered, which push up the number of active cases to 331.

The last time the number of active cases was over 300 was on 2 October, with 313.

The total number of deaths remained 462.

In all, 886,762 vaccination doses have been administered, of which 57,208 are booster doses.

Malta has had 37,858 cases.  36,654 of those have recovered.
