A biker was seriously injured on Sunday morning after a collision with a car whose driver did not stop, the police said in a statement.

The accident took place in Giuseppe Garibaldi Street at 7.30am.

The biker, a man aged 46 of Kalkara, was riding a Suzuki GSX1300R.

He was taken to hospital with grievous injuries.

The police are investigating.
