Prime Minister Robert Abela met with renowned actor Russell Crowe who is currently in Malta filming.

The world famous actor is working on the biographical drama ‘Prizefighter: The Life of Jem Belcher.’

Posting on Facebook, Abela said that the film industry remained strong, despite the pandemic.

“Right now more than 200 Maltese workers are taking part in the making of the film,” Abela said. The Prime Minister visited the film set.

“We will continue working for Malta to remain attractive for this sector and create more opportunities for work,” Abela said.

The Gladiator star has been snapping pics of places around Malta and posting them on Twitter, asking people to guess where he is, reminiscing of the last time he was in Malta.
