Heritage Malta said today it is releasing another audio-visual production entitled Malta Oskura: il-Mewt, which will air on 30 November at 8.30pm.

This production is the third of its kind, in a series entitled Malta Oskura. The first two productions in the series, titled ‘Ir-Rabat u l-Imdina’ and ‘Il-Forka’ have been hailed for their success, which is a tell-tale sign that this production will be nothing short of.

In this anticipated virtual tour entitled ‘Il-Mewt’, which will take place in the form of a webinar, Micheal Tabone will be leading the audience into the darkness which is encapsuled in the themes surrounding death and old burial sites.

However, this does not exclude discussion surrounding other themes, such as the reasons behind old practices or the infamous gladiator games, which have for long induced our curiosity, yet remained shrouded in mystery.

Other themes which will be honourably mentioned are the ‘Dark Ages’ and how they brought to light a different approach to death, and how the Knights of the Order of St John have introduced a new concept of death, namely holy war.

‘Malta Oskura: Il- Mewt’ will start with a short documentary, approximately 20 minutes, which will be in Maltese but will have English subtitles. Leading this informative webinar will be the questions which will be asked after. Interested participants are requested to register, against a fee of 5 via this link:  https://zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_P4e3rLOaSISHPGUnlzx5vA
