MFSA issues warnings against fraudulent companies

The Malta Financial Services Authority today issued warnings against clone companies which are not registered to operate in Malta.

The MFSA has brought light to two entities using the names of registered and licensed Maltese companies, PGB Limited and Doxxon Finance Limited respectively, in attempt to hoax consumers by using details of the genuine companies.

The MFSA warned the public that these fraudulent companies are likely to be suspicious schemes with a “high risk of loss of money” for consumers which associate themselves with said companies. MFSA went on to say that the public should refrain from interacting or undertaking any financial services or transactions with these businesses.

The Maltese registered company, PGB Limited with the registration number of C 76509 is being cloned by a company using the same name with the website https://pgblimlted.com/, currently offline.

Doxxon Finance, an unauthorised company which is not registered to provide any financial services, is using the details of Doxxon Finance Limited (C 66347).

MFSA also issued a notice for consumers to proceed with caution when involving oneself with financial services and to not do so until certain that the company is authorised and licensed by the authority.
