122 new Covid-19 cases registered as numbers spike

122 new cases of Covid-19 were registered on Sunday, while 41 people recovered from the virus.

The last time over 100 cases were registered was on 13 August.

Currently, 12 people are being treated at Mater Dei Hospital, two of whom are in the ITU.

There are currently 847 active cases in the country. The last time we had more than 800 active cases was on 11 August.

Malta has had 38,622 cases of the virus so far, with 36,993 recoveries. 463 people have died with Covid-19 since the start of the pandemic.

927,127 vaccine doses have been administered, 93,247 of which are booster doses.
