Covid-19: 56 new cases, two more deaths

Fixty-six new Covid-19 cases were registered on Friday, while two more deaths were recorded, health authorities said.

The number of patients who recovered was 58, which slightly brought down the number of active cases to 1,003.

The two latest victims are a man and a woman, both aged 77.

The number of victims has now reached 468.

This week, five patients died with Covid-19. The last week during which we had more deaths was in early September.

So far, Malta has registered 38,980 cases of Covid-19, with 37,190 patients who recovered.

Until Thursday, 942,729 vaccination doses were administered, of which 107,776 were booster doses.
