The Royal College for Surgeons of Edinburgh, one of the largest colleges for surgeons in the world, will be working with the Maltese health authorities to make our country a landmark centre for the training and examinations of surgeons, the health ministry said.
In a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Health Chris Fearne, the College, together with the Maltese Association of Surgeons and the Postgraduate Medical Training Center, expressed their confidence that our country will be a training centre for hundreds of European surgeons, especially those coming from the Middle East and North Africa.
The Deputy Prime Minister has welcomed this news, saying it confirms the excellent level of surgery in our country.
