Two men were taken to hospital with grievous injuries after the van they were in crashed into a tree on Friday morning.

The police said the accident took place on Saqqajja Hill, limits of Rabat, at 11am.

The van, a Fiat Ducato, was being driven by a 30-year-old man of Ghaxaq, who had a 33-year-old man of Zejtun riding as a passenger.

Both were taken to hospital with grievous injuries.
