A 41-year-old Italian man was grievously injured in a traffic accident at 7.30pm on Tuesday in Lija.

The accident occurred on Triq il-Kbira. The man, from Birkirkara, was riding a motorcycle. Another vehicle was allegedly involved but fled the scene. The man was taken to Mater Dei Hospital and investigations are ongoing.
