Deputy Prime Minister Chris Fearne has thanked two Opposition MPs for helping out with the Covid-19 vaccination campaign.

Maria Deguara helped administer vaccine shots during the summer while Mario Galea is currently helping with the vaccination drive. They both did this on a voluntary basis.

In a social media post, Fearne thanked them for “rolling up their sleeves and being part of the vaccination campaign.”

Up until Wednesday, 1,052,035 doses of the vaccine had been administered, of which 206,611 were booster doses.

Fearne said on Wednesday that half of the eligible adult population will have been given the booster shot by today.
