Roselyn Borg Knight has stepped down as the PN’s International Secretary.

Developments in her professional career are cited as being the reason behind her decision.

On Facebook she said: “I have taken the decision to step down from my post as International Secretary of the Partit Nazzjonalista in order to focus on my profession. In my role, I had the pleasure to work with Dr Bernard Grech and many other colleagues, whom I thank for their support. I have obtained valuable experiences on an international level, and I am proud to have contributed to the strengthening of PN’s profile abroad. I will keep supporting the PN and its efforts to make Malta a better country.”

In a statement, the PN thanked Borg Knight for her service and wished her well in her future endeavours. PN Leader Bernard Grech also thanked her for her work and trusts that she will continue giving her contribution within the party. The PN will, in the coming days, launch the process to appoint her replacement.

In November, she had withdrawn her candidacy for the upcoming election.

Borg Knight Borg Knight, an employment and industrial relations lawyer, was to contest on the ninth and 10th district. She had contested the same districts in 2017, and had also been on the list of PN candidates for the 2019 European Parliament elections. Professional and career reasons were cited as being behind her decision to withdraw her candidacy at the time.
