A man was grievously injured after he was attacked by another man in Marsalforn on Saturday night, the police said.

The accident happened in the area known as Qbajjar at 10.30pm.

The man, a Sudanese aged 26, and resident in Zebbug, Gozo, went to the police station to report the incident.

He was taken to hospital for treatment to grievous injuries.

The police have mounted a search for the aggressor.
