Another week has passed since he was last asked the question, but Tourism Minister was still unable on Monday to say how much was spent on the Malta Film Awards ceremony.

The gala event reportedly went well over its €400,000 budget, but neither Bartolo nor Film Commissioner Johann Grech have been forthcoming with answers.

Last week, Bartolo told PN MP Jason Azzopardi that information on the expenditure on the event was still being gathered. Now, a week later, Bartolo again told Nationalist MP Karl Gouder that the information is not yet available.

Last week, Bartolo would not confirm or deny that the cost of the event had exceeded €2 million. He also failed to react to claims that British comedian David Walliams, who headlined the event, had been paid over €200,000.
