An undisclosed amount of cash was stolen from a shop in Paola on Wednesday evening, the police said.
A hooded man armed with a knife entered the shop, in De Paule Square, at 10pm, demanding money from the cashier, a 50-year-old woman.
He then made off with the cash.
The police are investigating.
