Nazzareno Bonnici, better known as Żaren tal-Ajkla, will be returning to the ballot sheet in the 2022 general election as a candidate.

He will be a candidate on the 3rd and 13th districts.

“I am proud to be among the big parties, and I am ready to say what I have to say to the Maltese people,” Bonnici told website Malta Daily in a comment.

Asked whether he thinks he’ll fare better than in previous elections, Bonnici said that he thinks the big parties will lose a lot of votes as people have lost faith in them, and that that’s why there should be a new party instead of them.

Bonnici has been contesting elections since 2013.

In 2019 he received 47 first count votes on the 2nd district. He obtained 35 votes on the 3rd district and 41 votes in the 13th district in 2017.

He also contested the 2019 MEP elections, in which he received 376 votes, and the 2014 MEP election where he obtained 1,208 votes.
