Home Affairs Minister Byron Camilleri announced that Malta will send humanitarian assistance to the Ukrainian people through a Civil Protection mechanism.

The process used by the Civil Protection Department, through which Malta assists foreign countries who need urgent humanitarian aid, will start, the government said.

Camilleri said that "the Civil Protection Department is at the forefront of coordinating this kind of aid to other countries. Through this, our country will unite with other EU Member Stated who are sending aid to Ukraine during this difficult moment."
