The daughter of the woman who was murdered in Gozo has said that the only way she can comfort her own daughter is to tell her that her grandma became an angel.

Rita Ellul was murdered in Ghajnsielem last Saturday. An autopsy confirmed Tuesday that she had been strangled. A man will be changed with her murder this afternoon.

Writing on Facebook, Rita’s daughter Georgina said that “her mother’s life has been stolen”.

“They have deprived you from seeing your children grow and my daughter Chanelle too,” she wrote.

“You used to tell me that when you were unhappy you used to watch Chanelle’s videos and feel better,” she said.

“I will tell my daughter Nanna Rita became an angel,” Georgina wrote.
