No new deaths related to the Covid-19 virus were reported on Sunday, with 99 new cases being reported by health authorities.

74 people meanwhile have recovered from the virus, taking the number of active cases up to 870.

45 patients are currently receiving treatment for the virus at Mater Dei Hospital, with three of those now in intensive care.

1,245,686 doses of the vaccine have been administered thus far, with 344,534 of those being booster doses.

Malta has had 71,832 cases of the virus so far. 69,943 of those have recovered, while 608 have died.
