72 new cases were meanwhile reported, with 80 new recoveries bringing the number of active cases down to 861.

42 patients are currently being treated at Mater Dei Hospital, with three of those in intensive care.

1,246,081 doses of the vaccine have been administered thus far, with 344,726 of those being booster doses.

Malta has had 71,904 cases of Covid-19. 70,023 of those have recovered, while 609 have died.
