A man died this morning after he fell a height of nine metres, the police said.

The accident took place in an establishment in Qormi Road, Luqa, at 10.30am.

The man, Saviour Magro, aged 56, of Sliema, fell after a loft gave way.

Magro, according to TVM, is the owner of SML.

He was given first aid by a medical team before being taken to hospital, where he was certified dead.

Magistrate Leonard Caruana is leading an inquiry.
