A motorcyclist was grievously injured in a traffic collision in Paola on Monday morning.

The accident took place in Triq Fr. Charles Plater, at around 9:30am, the police said.

The casualty, 43, from Zebbug, was riding a Honda 125 that had an impact with a Porsche Macan driven by a 34-year-old man from Sliema.

The injured man was assisted on site by a medical team and was later taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance.

Investigations are ongoing.
