From tomorrow the only survey which counts begins, said Prime Minister Robert Abela on Friday on the eve of early voting beginning.

He added that the decision which needs to be taken in the upcoming election is an important one for the country to move forward.

“The election starts at 0-0”, he said.

During a political event in Fgura, Abela said that whoever decides to stay at home instead of voting, would be giving the opportunity for the PN to become arrogant with every lost vote.

Abela emphasises that every vote counts, as every one of them is equally important.

“There are people who want to tell you that you vote doesn’t count and that the vote is not important,” Abela said.

The PL leader said that the focus of the PL’s proposals is for a better quality of life, to create better opportunities and to have a more beautiful country.

He said that this week during a debate the PN Leader Bernard Grech criticized the PL for constantly speaking about the future, to which Abela replied that it does so because it wants a better one for the upcoming generation.

Speaking on behalf of the PL about the future it wants to create, Abela said that it wants to continue generating wealth like it already did during the pandemic.

“We have supported businesses during the pandemic amongst many other sectors; we have taken the best decisions during the most difficult of times, now imagine what we can create in the future”, said Abela.

He added that the PL’s plan and its proposals, which have been explained since the start of this electoral campaign have been very clear with regard to pensions, businesses, youths, and the environment.

Speaking about the guarantee a PL government wants to give to children, Abela said that they want to create a level playing field for every child as “we don’t want any child to be deprived of any essential, neglecting them from bettering themselves, and that is why we want to give them a better environment together with a better standard of education.”
