Minister Di Maio said the Maltese politician’s re-election to the Maltese Parliament is very important for him and for Italy

‘Relations between our two countries, are improving thanks to you! And for this reason dear Evarist count always on me and on my country.

You were a guide for me. And I will be grateful to you, forever!’,  Di Maio told Minister Evarist Bartolo a few days before general elections in Malta.

The Italian and Maltese Foreign Ministers were particularly engaged in the last months seeking a peaceful solution in Libya, collaborating closely with Libyan Foreign Minister Najla Mangoush. Ministers Di Maio and Bartolo travelled more than once to Tripoli on an Italian military plane.

On her part, Minister Mangoush thanked Minister Bartolo for voicing Libyan concerns in Europe and elsewhere.

Dear Evarist. Let’s hope for good news in next Saturday’s elections.  We need more people like you in politics and I don’t want to lose your friendship! You add a lot to this crawl world!’, Minister Mangoush told Minister Bartolo.

Minister Evarist Bartolo has been receiving messages of support from his counterparts in Europe, the Mediterranean, Africa and elsewhere in his bid to get re-elected in the Maltese Parliament.
