Two more people have died while positive for Covid-19, as health authorities reported 731 new cases of the virus on Thursday.

401 people have recovered from the virus, meaning that the number of active cases now stands at 8,357.

3,795 swab tests were administered in the past 24 hours, meaning that the positivity rate stands at 19.26%.

Details about the deaths or about the number of people receiving treatment in hospitals were not provided, and have not been provided since the Ministry for Health stopped issuing its daily bulletin on social media.

Malta has had 84,398 cases of Covid-19 so far.  74,993 of those have recovered, while 652 have died.
