A motorcyclist was grievously injured on Saturday in a traffic accident in Santa Venera, the police said.

The accident took place in Ferrovija Street at around noon.

The biker, a49-year-old man of Xewkija, was riding a Suzuki GW250 which was involved in a collision with a Mercedes Benz driven by a 37-year-old man of Msida.

The biker was taken to hospital with grievous injuries.
