196 new cases of Covid-19 were registered on Sunday as one more person has died with the virus.

Statistics published by the health authorities show that the number of deaths from Covid-19 have risen from 687 to 688. No details were given about the victim.

Malta currently has 4,865 active virus cases.

Since the start of the pandemic, there have been 90,595 cases of Covid-19 in the country, of which 84,646 have recovered.
