The Nationalist Party’s former head of its media arm Pierre Portelli has said that the party needs to go into ‘forced administration.’
Portelli spoke out in a tweet on Monday, following the revelation that the Nationalist Party is €32 million in debt.
“I have followed closely Bernard Grech’s first moves since the election. He ticked many boxes that I raised in my article, though could have been bolder with the shadow nominations and shrewder with the Party's financial status. Forced administration must follow.”
Administration is a process in business which is initiated when a company has serious cash flow issues.
Up until 2019, Portelli was head of Media Link, the PN’s media arm.
On Sunday, Opposition Leader Bernard Grech announced that the Nationalist Party is €32 million in debt. Grech has said that the PN has to be ready to sell some of its clubs.
