A man was grievously injured when he was attacked by an unknown person in St Julian’s early on Friday, the police said.

The attack took place in St George’s Road at 1.30am.

The police said that a French man, aged 26, by attacked by another person who fled the scene.

The Frenchman was taken to hospital with grievous injuries.
