Following a very intense summerful of events in 2021, Pjazza Teatru Rjal reopens its doors to welcome patrons for another exciting artistic season. The theatre's own Malta Concert Orchestra, now in its fifth season, has much in store for its ever growing audience starting with A Night at the Musicals on 3 June featuring music from all time celebrated musicals such as Chess, Jesus Christ Superstar, Chicago, Phantom of the Opera and West Side Story. This concert will be followed by MCO Pop (8 June), Elton John Tribute (5 August), The name's Bond ... (26 August), Golden Oldies (2 September) and MCO Queen Tribute (16 September). The orchestra's talented musicians together with leading local singers will be under the direction of associate conductors Maestro Paul Abela and Maestro Joe Brown.

Following the digital edition held last year, Iljieli fit-Teatru makes a welcome return to live performances this time with three events held on 13, 20 and 27 June. This year's edition will be dedicated to the memory of Charles 'City' Gatt, Pjazza Teatru Rjal's Chairman who passed away earlier this year. As expected, this series will be a celebration of everything that was at heart to Charles Gatt: jazz, painting, education, literature, and culture at large.

On July 22, Pjazza Teatru Rjal will be hosting the Almere Youth Symphony Orchestra, one of Holland's leading youth orchestras. Under the direction of its principal conductor Hans Welle, the orchestra will be presenting an eclectic programme of classical, contemporary and film music. The concert will be in aid of the Malta Community Chest Fund.

Pjazza Teatru Rjal will also be hosting the second edition of The Nickelodeon Treasure Hunt Malta (28 and 29 May), the popular Italian band Premiata Forneria Marconi (6 June), the Malta International Jazz Festival (14 July), the 46th edition of L-Għanja tal-Poplu (30 July) and much more.
