A 28-year-old motorcyclist was critically injured in a collision with another two vehicles in Marsa on Friday afternoon.

The motorcyclist was riding a BMW 1100 when he was involved in a traffic accident with a Dennis truck and a Mazda Demio.

The accident happened at 2:10 pm on Friday, at the Marsa-Hamrun bypass.

The biker was rushed to hospital, whilst neither of the other drivers sustained any injuries.  The biker was certified as suffering from serious injuries.

The Mazda Demio was being driven by a 19-year-old man from Mosta, while the Dennis truck was being driven by a 51-year-old from Marsa.

Upon impact, pieces of the motorcycle flew into a Maruti but the 54-year-old man who was driving the car didn’t sustain any injuries.

The police spokesperson said that the area is congested with traffic as a result of the accident.
