Process to elect PN deputy leader starts

Saturday, 11 June 2022, 11:48 Last update: about 3 years ago

The process to elect the Nationalist Party’s new leader has started today, the party announced.

The PN will have one deputy leader, instead of the two at present, after amendments to the party statute were approved before the election.

Robert Arrigo, currently deputy leader for party affairs, has declared he will not contest. The other deputy leader, David Agius, is still to announce his position.

Interested individuals are to submit their interest to the post by 18 June. There will then be a due diligence process following which there will be a call for nominations.

The election of the deputy leader comes after Barnard Grech was confirmed as party leader in an election held last month.
