A biker was grievously injured in a collision with another vehicle in Birkirkara early on Thursday morning, the police said.

The accident happened in Naxxar Road at 12.15am.

The biker, a 57-year0old man of Attard, was riding a Yamaha which was involved in a crash with a Toyota Ractis driven by a 50-year-old man of Pieta.

The biker was taken to hospital with grievous injuries.
