Ivan Falzon has been appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Infrastructure Malta within the Ministry for Transport, Infrastructure and Capital Projects.

Falzon was the CEO of the Water Services Corporation and occupied previous leadership roles in the health and aviation sectors. He was instrumental in a number of transformational projects undertaken during this period with customer centricity given particular attention.

Most recently he served as the CEO of Mater Dei Hospital.

He replaces Trustin Farrugia Cann, who resigned from the role after just a month, citing his footballing career as an international referee as the main reason behind his decision.

Farrugia Cann had succeeded Frederick Azzopardi, who led the roads agency since its inception in 2018 up until the general election last March.
