A 50-year-old man was grievously injured on Wednesday after he fell off a plank while carrying out some works in a house in Ghajnsielem.

The accident took place at around 5pm in a private residence in Triq iz-Zewwieqa.

The man, who is from Kercem, fell from a height of around one storey. He was taken to the Gozo General Hospital by ambulance.

Police investigations are ongoing.
