A three-year-old girl who was riding as a passenger was injured in a traffic accident in Xemxija on Friday afternoon, the police said.

The girl was in a Mitsubishi Pajero, which was involved in a collision with a Ford Transit, driven by a 44-year-old man of Mellieha, and Ford Mondeo driven by a 34-year-old woman of Xaghra.

The Pajero was being driven by a 66-year-old woman of Xaghra, who had the girs riding as a passenger together with a 43-year-old woman.

The girl was taken to hospital with grievous injuries.

The accident happened at 4.15pm.
