An Albanian worker was grievously injured on Wednesday after he fell and hit his head while working on a scaffold.

The accident took place at the Bulebel Industrial Estate at around 9am, the police said.

The casualty, 36, lives in St Paul’s Bay. The police said the man was descending from the structure when he fell and hit his head. He was assisted on site by a medical team and was later taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance.

Police investigations are ongoing.
