A 31-year-old man from Iklin suffered grievous injuries in an accident at around 9.30am.

The accident on the St Paul's Bay bypass occurred between a Honda motorcycle, ridden by the 31-year-old, and a car being driven by a 58-year-old man from Mellieha.

The rider was taken to Mater Dei Hospital. Investigations are ongoing.
