Nobody was injured after a boat burst into flames while it was moored near Comino last night.

The 80-foot boat caught fire at around 12:15am last night, with the Civil Protection Department being called to extinguish it.

Three people were onboard the boat at the time, but all of them managed to disembark safely and without injury.

The Armed Forces of Malta also assisted.

Drone footage published by TVM on Monday morning showed the boat largely submerged at the scene of the accident just outside Santa Marija Bay.
