A motorcyclist was injured on Friday evening in a traffic accident in Naxxar, the police said.

The accident took place in 21 September Avenue at 9pm.

It involved a VW Golf driven by a 39-year-old man of San Gwann, and a Honda bike.

The biker, a 24-year-old man of Swieqi, was taken to hospital with grievous injuries.
