A man is in hospital with grievous injuries after he was hit by a car following a fight in San Gwann on Wednesday evening, the police said.

The man, a 27-year-old Polish resident in San Gwann, was involved in a fight with two men whose identity is still unknown.

The man was later hit by a Renault Zoe, as the two men drove away in it.

He was taken to hospital for treatment.

The police are investigating.
