A community police officer found the opportunity to share a casual game of football with a child as she was carrying out a patrol.

Video footage of the wholesome moment was shared to Facebook by an onlooker, saying "This is not Brazil, this is Malta."

The community police officer is Janice Xuereb, and her footballing skills should come as no surprise: she plays as goalkeeper with reigning women's football champions Birkirkara FC and has played in the UEFA Champions League.

She has also been capped multiple times with Malta's national team.
