24 new Covid-19 cases reported

Twenty-four new Covid-19 cases were reported on Saturday, confirming a trend that has seen the number of new patients at below 50 for four weeks.

The health authorities said 114,392 cases have been registered in Malta so far, with 803 deaths.

The number of people who have recovered is 113,045, while the active cases now total 148.

The Health Ministry stopped publishing daily bulletins on social media which display details about the pandemic in Malta the day after the March 2022 general election.

Data is still being published by the Health Ministry's COVID-19 Public Health Response Team on an open-source database on the platform GitHub, although certain details, such as the number of positive Covid-19 cases in hospital and details about people who died, are not included in the dataset.
