Two 14-year-old youngsters, a boy and a girl, were taken to hospital after being hit by a car in Mqabba, the police said.

The accident took place in Konvoj ta’ Santa Marija Street on Wednesday at 3pm.

The boy and girl were hit by a Volkswagen Polo driven by a 71-year-old man of Qrendi.

The boy suffered grievous injuries while the girl was slightly hurt.
