A biker suffered serious injuries when he was involved in a collision with another vehicle in St Paul’s Bay on Friday afternoon, the police said.

The accident took place in Tamar Street at 1.30pm.

The biker, a 23-year-old Englishman who resides in St Paul’s Bay, lost control of the Kymco he was riding.

The man fell off the bike and went on to hit an Opel Corsa which was being driven by a 63-year-old man of Mellieha.

The biker was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Magistrate Elaine Mercieca is leading an inquiry.
